En Primeur

We have successfully sold every Bordeaux en primeur or futures vintage since 1998. We have built up good allocations of the very top wines as a result. Wine are normally released in May June of the following year, and all prices will be posted on line as soon as we have news that they have been released. They are then delivered to the UK two years later.

Please note that in this heady world, we cannot guarantee anything, we are totally at the mercy of the Chateaux. If you buy in one year, you will be given preference the following but only if we get the wine. Let us give you an example. In the last really cheap vintage, 2002 and before investing became popular, we received a substantial quantity of Chateau Lafite Rothschild . In the much more highly acclaimed 2003 vintage we received 15% of what we got in 2002. So how do you explain to the customer who bought five cases in 2002, that he can only have one in 2003. Well let’s hope this goes some way to explaining it.
